Seahorse World
Seahorse World provides a unique insight into the mystical, intriguing and lovable seahorse from birth, in a working farm. When touring the working aquarium you will be accompanied by informative guides providing an educational experience. At Seahorse World you will be introduced to the Weedy Sea Dragons and other endangered species.
Platypus House
A rare and unique display of platypuses, water rats, butterflies, creepy crawlies, echidnas and coffee shop. Situated next to Seahorse World at Beauty Point.
Beaconsfield Mine and Heritage Centre
The whole family can enjoy this fascinating museum with over 30 visitor-activated displays including new display of the 2006 Mine Disaster and Rescue. Allow 1 hour minimum to explore the complex. BBQ, picnic area, park and playground facilities. Just a 30 Minute drive from Launceston.
Food and Wine
With over 21 vineyards joining together to form the Tamar Valley wine route, you can tailor your own wine and food experience. Quite a few vineyards have wine tastings, cellar door sales and their own restaurants. Why not sample fresh farm produce from one of the many farm gates all over the valley.
Narawntapu National Park
A coastal park between the Tamar River and the Rubicon River featuring Wombats and wallabies, deserted beaches, coastal walks, and bird hides for observing the abundant waterbirds.
Notley Fern Gorge
Experience a short walk in this stunning rain forest wilderness area just 24km northwest of Launceston.

Tamar River Cruises
Launceston sits at the fork of the Tamar, North Esk and South Esk Rivers.
